Garage Door Repair Reviews in Oak View Area, CA (Updated June 2026)

I made an appointment on Wednesday, Garret came out Friday, (today) Garrett looked at the system and made recommendations and options of what could be done. I felt comfortable and not pressured. I would definitely recommend Precision Garage Door Service to friends and family. -From the Call center person, to the tech, Professional, Honest, Transparent and Friendly. (compared to the previous companies I've had out)

I do not even know what just happened. I was sent an email that suggested I could get a new garage door for a certain price and then was quoted a higher price because of where I live. Also, I was charged $150 for simply lowering my door. This does not seem to live up to the ratings I was guided by.

He also notified me that the springs on my double garage door were worn out and needed to be replaced. Both jobs were done on the spot and now everything works beautifully. Thank you!

The Precision Door service person showed up within a couple of hours of my calling (which was great, as our cars were located inside the garage with a very heavy door that wouldn't open manually), fixed the garage door opener within a half-hour, and was very pleasant to work with. Five stars for the quick response and excellent repair work by Russ on my off track door. However I am not happy about paying $225 for some thing I see as a design flaw in the door mechanism itself. The door came down on the back of the car (my fault) but instead of stopping it skewed the door which caused the cables to come off the pulley. The door is supposed to stop when it meets resistance not screw up the cables, twist the tracks and cost me a big bill. To whom may I address my complaint?
